Year 5 Visit to the Hindu Temple
On Monday 10th February Year 5 visited the Hindu Temple in Preston. Over the last half term the children in Year 5 have been learning all about the Hindu Faith This trip was designed to develop the children’s understanding of this religion.
Hinduism is the oldest faith and the third largest religion in the world. During the visit the children were given the opportunity to join in with a cultural workshop. This involved looking around the Temple, talking about Hinduism, festival and culture, Indian dancing, Henna painting, Rangoli painting and Saree draping.
Year 5 returned to school with a much greater knowledge of Hinduism.
