Year 5 Residential - Crosby
Year 5 children had a fantastic time at Crosby Marina this week. The activities were delayed, for a short time, due to a thunderstorm but the sun soon came out. The childen donned their watersuits and life jackets to venture onto the lake for their first kayaking lesson.
After a fantastic tea the children took part in some evening activities which included orienteering, nightline and space camp games. To complete their very busy day the children wandered down to the beach, watched the sunset, made some fantastic beach art and toasted marshmallows on a camp fire!
The following day the children took to the lake again and took part in sailing and raft building. After lunch, Year 5 headed over to the woods to take part in some Bushcraft which included den building, fire lighting, bread making and toasting marshmallows..
Year 5 had a fun packed two days at the Marina and are now looking forward to more kayaking lessons over the coming weeks.
