Year 3 Visit to Ribchester

Year 3 had a fantastic day at Ribchester on Wednesday.

The children looked at and handled Roman artefacts as well as trying on Roman armour and they found out why Ribchester was the site of a Roman Fort. They learnt all about life in a Ribchester fort and looked at the remains of the granaries.

After lunch the children ended the day with a trip to the remains of the Roman baths and imagined they were living two thousand years ago.

The children all really impressed Patrick, the curator of the museum, with their fantastic behaviour and knowledge of the Romans and they were an absolute credit to you all.

Well done Year 3!
