Year 3 Ukulele Christmas Concert

Year 3 have been very busy recently bringing a lot of joy and happiness to our local community.

Since the beginning of the autumn term Year 3 have been very busy learning to play the ukulele. Each week Mr Woodward, from the Lancashire Music Services, has been coming into school to teach the children.

Earlier in the week, the children walked down to our local care home where Year 3 brought lots of festive enjoyment to the residents by singing Christmas songs.

This morning, parents, grandparents and friends were treated to a special performance when the children gave a fantastic concert demonstrating their newly acquired skills on the ukulele.

Dressed as festive elves Mrs Chapple, Mrs Brewer, Mrs Birtles and the children gave their own renditions of Silent Night, Rock around the Christmas tree, Let it Snow. All I want for Christmas and Jingle Bells. It was a great performance which the audience clearly enjoyed!

We would like to thank Mr Woodward for all his help in putting together this performance and a massive thank you to all our children (and Mrs Chapple) who performed with such enthusiasm and talent.

Well done!
