Year 2 Class Assembly

This week saw a fantastic display of Year 2’s talents as they performed their class assembly in front of parents, carers, grandparents and the rest of the school.

The children began their assembly cleaning the classroom, in preparation for next year. They came across some boxes which needed sorting.  They looked through the English box and found books from the author Pamela Butchart who Year 2 have been studying this year. As they moved on to the history box they found some historical artefacts which reminded them of all they have learnt this year – Florence Nightingale, The Great Fire of London and Christopher Columbus.

The children demonstrated their talents by singing the A,B,C song in Spanish.

Well done to Year 2 for a super assembly and some fantastic acting and singing! It was a great send off for Year 2 as they prepare to move up to the juniors. We are all extremely proud of their achievements!

We would like to thank Miss Fletcher, Mrs Thomas and Mrs Oldfield for all their hard work in putting together an assembly that clearly displayed everyone’s talents!
