Y3 Camping Trip
Year 3 had a fantastic time on their very first camping adventure to Charity Farm.
The adventure began in Parbold, where the children put the map reading skills they had learnt in Geography into practise by using the map to plan the walking route from Parbold to the farm. The children linked human and physical features on their O/S maps to real life features and successfully navigated their way, stopping enroute for a picnic lunch. After setting up camp, the children enjoyed their tea and then had a fantastic game of rounders. The day ended around the camp fire with toasted marshmallows and singing.
The following morning, after a lovely breakfast the children took part in team building games before packing away their tents and returning to school.
All of Year 3 showed characteristics of effective learning of resilience, independence, curiosity and active listening as well as christian values of respect, friendship and perseverance and we are all really proud of them.
