Remembrance Day

At 11 o’clock today staff and children gathered in the hall for a one minute silence. Mr Kennedy reminded the children why the ceremony takes place and why it’s important that we remember the people who lost their lives or who were injured.

The children sang a song from our value of Compassion - 'My Prayer Tonight' and Atticus and Alistair from Year 5 read the poem 'In Flanders Fields'

As the time approached 11 o’clock we listened to the Last Post before observing a minute silence.

'We will remember them!'
