Reception Nativity - Donkey for Sale

This week saw our Reception class taking their first steps on the stage as they told the story of ‘Donkey for Sale’.

Donkey for Sale was a retelling of the Nativity Story as experienced by a donkey called Alfie. Having been bought by Joseph, Alfie spends days carrying Mary to Bethlehem. He is really fed up, until the events and excitement surrounding the birth of Baby Jesus make him really happy.

Throughout the performance there was some superb acting and beautiful singing.  The children sang songs such as Donkey for Sale, Pretty Lady in Blue, Just a Donkey, Hee-Haw.

It was quite clear from the children’s performance they really enjoyed themselves, as did the audience.

Well done Reception - we certainly have some budding actors and singers!
