Reception Autumn Walk

The sun was out this morning as children from our Reception class enjoyed their annual morning walk to the quarry.

The trip was designed so the children could look at the natural changes that take place at this time of year. As they were walking down, they observed features in the local environment. They looked for numbers and shapes whether it was on houses or signs.

Whilst in the quarry the children were able to see and learn more about the way the natural world changes at this time of year as it prepares for winter. As the children watched the leaves fall from trees, they sang an autumn song and each brought a leaf back to school.

The children had a very exciting time experiencing the changes that autumn brings to the natural world.
