Prayer Boats

As part of our continued work on thankfulness the children in Years 1 – 6 have all made special prayer boats to share the things in our world that we are thankful for. These have been on our school field as a temporary display.

Today, our prayer boats started a special journey to Liverpool Cathedral. First they went to church with our Head Boy and Head Girl who handed them over to Reverend Sarah O’ Donoghue.

The boats will then continue their journey as members of our church community take part in a special walk for climate change in conjunction with Christian Aid and Tearfund. Members of the church will be walking with the boats to St Andrews in Maghull before our prayer boats make the last leg of their journey to Liverpool Cathedral to form part of a wider display.

It is once again wonderful to see the children thinking so deeply about the things they are thankful for.
