Musical Concert
Wow, what a musical performance we were treated to this morning.
The children across school who have been learning either a woodwind or string instrument, entertained the whole school and their families! It was wonderful to share in their talents and to see how much they have learnt already in their musical journey and over such a short peroid of time.
The concert began with the string section - children playing the violin played tunes such as London Bridge is Falling Down, Rolling Boat and Rhythm Fever. The brass section, trumpets and baratone, played When the saints go marching in, Jingle Bells, Frere Jacques and more.
We were also treated to a performance from an ex pupil who returned to school to show how her music has developed over the years. Emily started playing the flute whilst she was at primary school and continued her love of music throughout her education and is in her final year of university. It was an absolute delight to sit back and listen to Emily perform today.
We are all very excited to watch their progress over the next academic year. Being able to play an instrument is such a wonderful gift to have and to be able to watch the children perform today, was truly fantastic!
