Black History Week

Our final week of term has seen the children focusing on Black History Month and learning about key people who have made a difference and an impact in our world. On Tuesday, during worship, the whole school learned all about the inspiration of Rosa Parks and throughout the week it has been amazing to see and hear of the children’s wonderful understanding of the many inspirational black people, past and present, and their positive impact on our society. The children had a special assembly on this topic on Tuesday. They are also undertaking work in their classes on this important aspect of history.

Year 4 have been carrying out some fantastic art work and biographical work on inspirational black people, past and present. We all feel really proud of the wonderful work Year 4 have done and I have included some photos of the work for everyone to see.
