Author visit to school

We were delighted to welcome author Eamonn Reilly into school on Tuesday and again on Thursday when he returned to sign copies of his books.
During his inspirational talk, Eamonn set the children a variety of writing challenges for our writing competition.

If your child wishes to enter they should write their own story based on one of the ideas below and submit this to their class teacher by Friday 7th October. We will be awarding prizes for the winning entries.

The writing challenges are as follows:
1. Write a story with a huge surprise in it.
2. Describe your den.
3. Make up an ending to Eamonn's story - how do the children catch the burglar?
4. Write a story with a dilemma.

We are looking forward to reading the children's entries so get writing everyone.
