PSHE & RSE Consultation
Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) is central to our curriculum across the whole school. PSHE assists our children to cope with many aspects of the wider world, manages transitions and enables them to make an active contribution to their communities. The topics covered in PSHE include identity, managing feelings and emotions, relationships, change, resilience and being healthy, which includes physical, emotional and social well-being.
Important Updates - March 2021
A review of PSHE has taken place and from Summer 2021 (delayed due to COVID19), the government have defined Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education as a compulsory feature of all primary school curriculums.
Relationships and health education has always formed part of our PSHE curriculum, however, we feel it is important that when there are changes we inform you as parents of what these changes are.
Unfortunately, at the present time we are unable to invite you in to school, but as you will be aware from the recent letter regarding our PSHE curriculum we are holding a parent's consultation. Please find our policy and yearly curriculum overview 2021 below. We ask parents to read this and if they wish to please send in any thoughts to the nominated email address of our PSHE lead, Mrs Frackelton.
The closing date for feedback is Friday 16th April 2021
