Virtual Nativity and Carol Service 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

At this very special time of year we are normally welcoming you all into school for different events to celebrate Christmas.  As you are all aware this year it has not been possible to do this and instead we are holding a variety of events for the children; in school Christmas has truly started.

Perhaps one of the most special moments in our lead up to Christmas is when we all come together for our nativities and concerts in church.  As we cannot do that this year, the children from Year 1 to Year 6 have prepared a virtual carol concert for you all to enjoy.

Our Reception children have also prepared their first Nativity, “We’re Going on a Baby Hunt!” Taking part in their nativity is such an important part of their first year in school.

Everyone in school is incredibly proud of our Reception children who have made a wonderful start to school life and have shown a growing confidence as we filmed their performance.

Before you enjoy our virtual concerts, I want to take this opportunity to thank all the children for their amazing attitudes towards every aspect of school life.  In these very different times they are shining brighter than ever.   School is certainly an exciting and vibrant place to be.

As I write to you, most of the children are half way across Lapland in their virtual ultra-race and have today enjoyed a magical visit from reindeers Pepper and Nala.  Seeing the children happy and full of joy in school as they celebrate Christmas together is certainly the most special gift that I will receive this year.
